The Living Room - Space for Health and Wellbeing
The Living Room is envisaged as a workshop space, purpose designed and equipped to offer a diverse range of people, particularly those living with dementia, a safe space to work in gentle collaboration with artists.
Our ultimate aim is to create a dedicated space to enable creative collaborations with our diverse community, particularly older people and those living with dementia and their families/carers. ‘The Living Room’ will be a modest structure built on the site of an old water tower in the grounds of spudWORKS, creating a private, warm and secure environment. We it to be a source of happiness and enjoyment, that makes communities feel valued, part of something that enriches their world.

In Memoriam - Alice Woods 1930 -2021
Born in Liverpool, moving to nearby Prescot to raise her family and achieve her lifetime wish in becoming a librarian in her 40's. Alice started sketching and painting in her 60's, joining an art group. It gave her a real focus through her later years and her enjoyment of painting and sharing with others supported her confidence and independence. Alice's family and friends honour her courage through the challenges of dementia and celebrate her life through supporting SPUD's Living Room - a place of support, creativity and care.
If you would like to make a donation in memory of Alice and support our ongoing dementia work please use the button below (Card or PayPal payments). You will also have the option to Gift Aid your donation.
